Admiralty Head Lighthouse 1861
|
|
This Lighthouse is located on Whidbey Island at Fort Casey State Park. One of 2 lighthouses that stood here, it now houses an interpretive center and is open April-Sept for tours. A forth-order lens displayed a fixed white light illuminating "an arc of 270 degrees of the horizon and commands Admiralty Inlet and the approaches." The original lens is at the New Dungeness lighthouse and the light from Alki lighthouse is now on display at Admiralty Head.
