At the mouth of the Yaquina River stands the 1871
Yaquina Bay Lighthouse. Used only from 1871 to 1874, the 40 foot
tower with a small fifth-order lens (now gone) rises from cape Cod style
house is the area's oldest building and houses a museum. Open
daily in summer and weekends the rest of the year.
