In Bullards Beach State Park just 2 miles north of Brandon, Oregon you will find this High Victorian Italiante style lighthouse, the last lighthouse built on the Oregon Coast. The small bulding housed a fog signal and 40 foot tower housed a forth-order Fresnal lens with a fixed white light shining for 28 seconds with an eclipse of 2 seconds, visible for nearly 13 miles. Replaced with an automated beacon at the south end of the jetty in 1939, the solar-powered light shines from dusk to dawn. Open daily to the public. |
